A leading service provider to the oil and gas production and processing industry, Petrofac has grown since its inception in 1981 to become a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index. In 2017, building on its global success, Petrofac reopened an office in Moscow to explore downstream brownfield opportunities, as well as potential projects in the renewable energy sector, especially with regards to transmission systems.

Petrofac is admired for its string of global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that seek to champion sustainable livelihoods across the world. School children in Chennai and farmers in Mexico both know and respect Petrofac’s name. Since 2014, the company has invested over AED15 million ($4.1 million) in the latter to support its cocoa farmers in the Santuario concession area by boosting productivity and providing over 450 jobs.

In 2016, Petrofac committed to spending two percent of its in-country revenues on CSR initiatives in India, including sponsoring the Smile Foundation’s education programme and the Bharat Lok Shiksha Parishad welfare programme.

Through its large technical service centres in Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai, the company has invested over AED360,000 ($98,000) on education programmes that target disadvantaged children. In the years to come, Petrofac aims to continue delivering excellence in oilfield services.
