Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives

Launched in 2015, Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives is a foundation that embodies His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of improving the Arab world through humanitarian, developmental and community work.

The foundation’s initiatives support four vital causes: combating poverty and disease, spreading knowledge, empowering communities, and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. To amplify its impact, the foundation collaborates with over 280 strategic international partners, including governmental institutions, organisations and companies. It has built 46 hospitals and 2,126 schools around the world, empowered over 500,000 individuals in the fields of media, arts and sports, and nurtured 23,000 entrepreneurs.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives seeks to achieve integration and coordination among the humanitarian, developmental and social initiatives that His Highness has sponsored and launched over the years. It aims to maximise their impact, increase their ambition and unite their goals to meet the growing challenges faced by the Middle East and the world.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives consists of 28 institutions that together operate more than 1,400 development programmes, which currently benefit more than 54 million people in 116 countries. With over AED1.5 billion ($408 million) invested into its programmes, it is safe to say that the foundation’s global impact has been significant.
