Art Dubai

Since its launch in 2007, Art Dubai has become an art fair of global renown. Held in March each year, the quizzical and participatory event features a line-up of over 100 galleries from more than 40 countries, from household names to emerging art spaces, making it the world’s most globally diverse art fair.

Through its production of other internationally acclaimed art and design events such as Design Days Dubai, Downtown Design, Art Week and Dubai Design Week, The Art Dubai Group – the company that manages Art Dubai – it has reinforced Dubai’s position as a global cultural destination.

The Art Dubai Group also holds The Global Art Forum, the largest annual arts conference in the Middle East and Asia, and which features international thought leaders, artists, curators and writers, including the likes of Hans-Ulrich Obrist and Christo. In 2018, the Global Art Forum, held under the title ‘I Am Not a Robot’, focused on the topics of power, paranoia and potentials of automation.

Moreover, The Art Dubai Group runs the world’s most extensive non-commercial art programme. To-date, more than 5,000 people, including over 3,000 children, have benefited from its educational programmes in art and design, while over 130 artists and designers have received commissions. Through its collaborations with key governmental and corporate stakeholders, The Art Dubai Group seeks to remain a catalyst in the growth of Dubai’s creative industries.
